Few feeder seasons have boasted a top three like 2018: George Russell, Lando Norris and Alexander Albon, all of whom would line up on the Formula 1 grid the following year. Russell, with ART, was the most complete of the trio — relentless in qualifying and ruthless in the races — and he built a points lead that Norris, for all his flair, could never quite overturn. The McLaren-bound Briton pushed hard to the end, but Russell's consistency and big-weekend dominance proved decisive. It was a title that confirmed a generational changing of the guard, sending Russell to Williams and, eventually, to Mercedes. A vintage class, settled by the driver who would go on to win Grands Prix.
