Barcelona belonged to Drugovich, who produced a double victory across the weekend. Doohan claimed pole, but a grid penalty for impeding Pourchaire in qualifying shuffled Drugovich back. In the Sprint, Drugovich, Iwasa and Sargeant all gained at the start to run first, second and third, before a safety car interrupted proceedings when Vips beached in the Turn 4 gravel after a deep lunge on Daruvala. Drugovich aced the restart and pulled clear to win, with Iwasa second and Sargeant claiming a debut F2 podium in third. The Feature was a tactical triumph rather than a runaway. A safety car early on, after Daruvala lost power and was collected by Iwasa, set the stage. With both leaders starting on softs, Doohan pitted early for hards and led, but Drugovich ran long, stopped later and rejoined on fresher rubber. He carved back through, passed Vesti, then swept by Doohan into Turn 1 to win by more than five seconds. Doohan settled for second and a first F2 podium, Vesti took third and Sargeant fourth. Drugovich's clean sweep of both races extended his championship lead to twenty-six points over Pourchaire, a statement of intent.
