The Story

Jeddah's fast walls framed a frantic weekend. Drugovich took pole after a qualifying session torn apart by three red flags, including a heavy crash for Sargeant. The Saturday Sprint was chaotic: two early safety cars followed an opening crash for Cordeel and a restart collision that retired Doohan and Sargeant. Reverse-grid leader Hauger saw his afternoon ruined by a stop-go penalty. Hughes led mid-race on softs but his tyres faded, and Lawson swept past into Turn 1 to win, with Vips snatching second from Hughes on the last lap. Drugovich took third, Williams fourth and Verschoor fifth, while Boschung lost a points finish to a grid-related penalty. Sunday's Feature ran clean from green to flag, free of safety cars. Drugovich led every lap to win by a little over two seconds, with Verschoor second and Daruvala recovering to a surprise third. Hughes was fourth and Armstrong fifth. There were costly retirements: Lawson lost a wheel at his stop and was out early, while Pourchaire fell silent with a gearbox issue. Drugovich's commanding double-podium weekend lifted him to the top of the championship, the first sign of the relentless form that would define his year.
