Piastri took his fifth straight pole at Yas Marina. Starting tenth on the reversed grid in Sprint 1, he gained four places on the opening lap and passed Shwartzman, who was nursing a flat-spotted tyre, for third late on, clinching the drivers' title with two races to spare. He became the third rookie after Leclerc and Russell to win the modern F2 championship. Daruvala won that race from Drugovich and Piastri. The manic Sprint 2 fell to Zhou ahead of Shwartzman and Boschung, but Piastri retired with collision damage on lap six; Vips, Deledda and Armstrong also failed to finish. With the title settled, Piastri signed off in style with victory in the Feature, controlling it from the start ahead of Zhou and Drugovich, and Pourchaire, recovered from his Jeddah crash, set the fastest lap after returning in place of the injured Fittipaldi's replacement. Lawson retired with a gearbox failure, Hughes with a mechanical problem, and Doohan was out at the first corner. It was Piastri's sixth and final F2 win of a dominant title-winning campaign.
