At Silverstone Leclerc took pole again, around four tenths clear of Rowland, and the Feature became one of the season's defining images: he won despite his car falling apart around him. A major fluid leak left smoke pouring from the car and oil coating the engine cover, and his left rear-view mirror flew off late in the race. Yet he led from lights-out and won by nearly nine seconds. Nato held off race-long pressure from Rowland for second, with Markelov fourth, Canamasas fifth and Ghiotto climbing to sixth. de Vries failed to start with a fuel-system problem. Sunday's Sprint went to Latifi from reverse-grid pole, who built around five seconds before a late safety car and then won the one-lap restart. The caution came when Boschung was spat into the wall on the Hangar Straight attacking Albon and needed attention for his wrist. Rowland endured a rough day, picking up a five-second penalty for forcing Markelov off and a twenty-second post-race penalty for impeding at the restart, dropping him deep down the order. Ghiotto took second, Markelov third, with Leclerc fifth.
