The Story

Silverstone served a dry Sprint and a wet Feature. Martins took pole by a hundredth from Dunne in a session red-flagged by Cordeel, with Fornaroli starting the Sprint from reverse-grid pole. Fornaroli converted it into victory, leading home Montoya and Staněk, the latter snatching third around the outside of Stowe in a move judged hard but fair. Beganovic, due to start third, stalled on the formation lap and started from the pit lane. Dunne retired after contact with Minì, who took a ten-second penalty, while Williams juniors Browning and Martins tangled fighting over seventh. The Feature was run on a drying track with the whole field starting on wets. Crawford passed pole-sitter Martins at the start and led, his pivotal move pitting moments before a virtual safety car was announced, locking rivals out of following him in. He won from Dunne and Browning, who carved up from twelfth, passing Martins for the podium. The race was heavily disrupted as Staněk spun on slicks, Minì tangled with Goethe at the pit exit, Martins crashed out and Dürksen brought out a late safety car, the race finishing under caution. The results left Verschoor leading the championship from Crawford and Dunne.
