Barcelona handed Lindblad his maiden F2 pole by the widest qualifying margin of the season. Dunne arrived weighed down by grid penalties from Monaco and a fresh practice clash with Martins, dropping him deep down the Sprint order. That made his recovery the story of the Sprint, charging through to second behind Verschoor, who turned a free pit stop under a mid-race safety car onto fresh softs into the win. Villagómez claimed a maiden podium in third. The safety car came out after the Prema pair, Minì and Montoya, collided, with Montoya penalised. The Feature was Lindblad's: he led from pole, building a cushion of around four seconds before a late safety car for a stricken Fornaroli compressed the field. The caution was withdrawn on the final lap and Lindblad held on for his maiden Feature win ahead of Montoya and Verschoor. Crawford and Dunne ran an alternative strategy but the safety car neutralised their tyre advantage. Dunne, despite his sixteen combined grid-penalty places, retook the championship lead, three clear of Verschoor.
