Monza crowned a champion. In the Sprint, Vips won from third on the grid, leading home Vesti and Daruvala. A lap-one collision between Cordeel and Drugovich broke the leader's steering and forced his retirement, yet it mattered little: with Pourchaire failing to score and later penalised for contact with Lawson, Drugovich clinched the 2022 drivers' title with a round to spare. A safety car followed a first-lap clash between Calderón and Caldwell, and at the restart Vips passed Vesti at Turn 1 to seal the win. The Feature was a home triumph for Daruvala with Prema, who won by around two seconds. The opening lap brought chaos: pole-sitter Doohan made a poor start, contacted Daruvala and was speared into Sargeant, eliminating both Doohan and Sargeant, while Pourchaire clipped Boschung into the barrier. A second safety car and then a red flag followed further incidents. Daruvala had pitted early and cruised clear, with Vesti second. Iwasa crossed the line third but was disqualified for a plank infringement, promoting Fittipaldi, who had charged from fifteenth, to third and Hauger to fourth. The crown sealed, the runner-up fight tightened, with Pourchaire holding second from Sargeant and Lawson.
