Monza qualifying went to Ilott by just 0.030s from Tsunoda, using a Drugovich tow, after Schumacher crashed at the Ascari chicane to bring out a red flag that was not restarted, locking the order. The Feature swung Schumacher's way: he launched from seventh to second by Turn 1, and when Ilott stalled exiting his pit box on lap 11 and dropped to the back, Schumacher inherited the net lead. He managed a buffer over Lundgaard, who was passed for second by Ghiotto with three laps to go, and won by 3.2s. Tsunoda recovered to fourth, Zhou climbed from 17th to fifth, and Ilott salvaged sixth. The reversed-grid Sprint looked like a Ticktum win, leading from the start and crossing the line clear, but he was disqualified for an insufficient fuel sample after his car stopped on the in-lap, DAMS blaming a fuel leak. Ilott inherited the win, his third of the season, from Lundgaard and Schumacher. Tsunoda and Drugovich both retired. The Monza win-by-disqualification swung the championship lead back to Ilott, ahead of Schumacher and Shwartzman.
