The Story

At the Red Bull Ring, Browning claimed a maiden F3 pole for Hitech ahead of Lindblad and Tramnitz, though a three-place grid penalty for impeding Beganovic dropped him down the Sprint order. That left Stenshorne on reverse-grid pole, but Mansell took the lead at Turn 1 only to lose it as the ART pair came to the fore. Tsolov and Mansell swapped the lead repeatedly through the high-speed corners before Tsolov regained it for good and held on to win, his second victory of the season. Stenshorne recovered to second with Mansell third. Two safety cars broke up the race, the second after Montoya tangled with Dunne and spun into the barriers; Tsolov nailed the late restart to seal it. Browning, starting deep in the field after his penalty, climbed back only to 11th. In the Feature, Browning's penalty did not apply, and he led every lap from pole to win for the second time in 2024. Behind him the PREMA pair fought to the finish, Minì holding off Beganovic for second after a final-lap exchange. A virtual safety car neutralised a Boya-Bedrin clash. Browning's win returned him to the championship lead on 106 points, eleven clear of Minì.
