The Hungaroring gave Maini a Sprint win he had to be handed. Verschoor started from reversed-grid pole and led, briefly losing the place to Antonelli before reclaiming it after a mistake by the Italian, only to be disqualified afterwards for a plank found thinner than the rules allow. That promoted Maini to victory ahead of Martins and Hadjar, with the order behind reshuffled by the exclusion. The Feature belonged to Antonelli, the highest-placed hard-tyre starter from seventh. A lap-seven safety car followed a collision between pole-sitter Aron and title rival Maloney, handing Antonelli the effective lead, and a second interruption came when Cordeel crashed heavily at Turn 4. Antonelli pitted for softs, rejoined around fifth, then sliced past Hauger and Fittipaldi to take the lead and win by over twelve seconds from Martins, with Verschoor third. Fittipaldi and Bortoleto rounded out the points-scorers behind. The clash between Aron and Maloney, on top of Antonelli's charge, reshuffled the championship picture and kept the pressure firmly on the leaders, with both title contenders stumbling, as the season approached its summer climax.
