At a wet, twice red-flagged Hungaroring qualifying, Ilott took pole by three tenths from Ghiotto, with Virtuosi's timing keeping him and Zhou out on track to vault up the order. Points leader Shwartzman could only manage 11th. The Feature ran dry, and strategy decided it. Shwartzman and Mazepin started on the medium and switched to softs late, with Shwartzman scything past Ghiotto, Ilott and teammate Schumacher within a lap to lead and pull clear. He won from 11th, with Mazepin recovering from 16th to second and Schumacher third. Two safety cars punctuated it: a Nissany-Sato collision, then Armstrong's clumsy move on Lundgaard that pitched Markelov into the barriers, also collecting Lundgaard. In the reversed-grid Sprint, Ghiotto and Hitech gambled on a single set of mediums while the front-runners pitted for fresh softs mid-race. Ilott, on softs, clawed back huge chunks of time, closing to under five seconds, but Ghiotto held on by 0.4s despite a Turn 1 lock-up to claim Hitech's first F2 win. Schumacher took third. Shwartzman left Hungary leading Ilott by 18 points.
