Tijmen van der Helm is a Dutch racing driver who contested the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport.
Van der Helm completed MP Motorsport's 2021 line-up, joining Alpine junior drivers Victor Martins and Caio Collet in an all-rookie trio for the Dutch team. He stepped up from the Formula Renault Eurocup, where he had finished 12th in 2020, and had previously raced in MP colours in his debut single-seater year, taking fourth in Spanish Formula 4 in 2019.
His F3 season proved a steep learning curve. He suffered a heavy crash in qualifying at his home race at Zandvoort, a collision with Calan Williams at Spa-Francorchamps and an engine failure at Sochi, and struggled to qualify inside the points-paying positions. He did not score across the 21-race campaign, which marked his single season at this level of the FIA ladder.
