Tasanapol "Tern" Inthraphuvasak (born 14 November 2005 in Bangkok) is a Thai racing driver and a genuine trailblazer for his country's motorsport, becoming in 2026 the first-ever Thai driver to race in the FIA Formula 2 Championship. The son of GT driver and AAS Group executive Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak, Tern grew up idolising Thailand's F1 representative Alex Albon.
The climb
After a wide-ranging karting career across Asia, Europe and the US — including a runner-up finish in the 2017 Asian Kart Open and an FIA Karting European Championship OK-Junior campaign in 2019 — Tern made his car-racing debut in early 2021. He raced across a spread of Formula 4 series, taking a maiden car win in British F4 with Carlin and another from pole in Spanish F4 with MP Motorsport, before stepping up to Formula Regional Middle East and a strong sixth place in Eurocup-3 with Campos in 2023.
Formula 3
Inthraphuvasak reached FIA Formula 3 in 2024 with AIX Racing, enduring a tough rookie year (24th, with a lone podium in the Hungaroring sprint). He transformed in 2025 after switching to Campos Racing: three sprint and feature victories — including his maiden win at Silverstone, the first by any Thai driver in the category — lifted him to seventh in the standings and helped Campos seal their first F3 teams' title at Monza.
Formula 2
Late in 2025 he made his F2 debut with Trident as a one-off at the Yas Marina finale, replacing James Wharton, before ART Grand Prix confirmed him for a full 2026 campaign in car #17. His promotion meant Thailand was represented across the FIA single-seater ladder, and it made him only the second Thai driver, after Albon, to reach Formula 2.
2026 / current season
Tern began 2026 in dream fashion, scoring with both a sprint and feature result at the Melbourne opener to briefly sit fifth in the standings. The campaign has since been hard going: a first-corner clash with Nikola Tsolov in Miami, a withdrawal in Montreal on medical advice after a qualifying crash, and further scoreless rounds have left him 15th, his 13 points still all dating from that opening weekend. The talent that delivered three F3 wins remains; converting it consistently at F2 level is the task ahead.
