Sami Meguetounif (born 24 May 2004 in Marseille, raised in Marrakesh, Morocco) is a French racing driver who progressed through the junior single-seater ladder to FIA Formula 2.
Junior career
Meguetounif karted from 2013 to 2019, winning the French national karting championship in 2017 and 2018 and finishing runner-up at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in 2017. He moved into cars with French F4 in 2019-2020, taking a win on his way to fourth in the 2020 standings, before campaigns in ADAC and Italian F4 in 2021. Across 2021-2023 he raced in the Formula Regional European Championship, primarily with MP Motorsport, scoring a podium in 2022 and improving to ninth overall with three podiums in 2023.
Formula 3
Meguetounif joined Trident for the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship and delivered a standout rookie year, winning the feature races at Imola and Monza. Those two victories, plus further podiums, lifted him to eighth in the championship.
Formula 2
On the strength of that F3 form, he was promoted to FIA Formula 2 in 2025, staying with Trident for a second consecutive season. The step up proved difficult: he managed only two points across the campaign, and with the team struggling at the back of the grid Trident parted ways with both of its drivers before the end of the year.
