The climb

Maciej Gładysz is a Polish racing driver, born in Tarnów, who reached the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2026 as a 17-year-old rookie with ART Grand Prix. He arrived with only two seasons of car racing behind him, having built his reputation through national- and European-level karting honours before making the jump to single-seaters.

Junior single-seaters

Gładysz debuted in cars in 2024, finishing third overall in both the Formula Winter Series and the Spanish F4 Championship — a tidy, consistent first year. He stepped up in 2025 to the Eurocup-3 / Formula Regional tier and immediately collected silverware, winning the Eurocup-3 Spanish Winter Championship with two poles and several wins among five podiums. In the main Eurocup-3 season he added a race victory at the Red Bull Ring, the kind of result that catches the eye of a top F3 team.

Formula 3

ART Grand Prix confirmed Gładysz for its 2026 line-up alongside fellow rookies Taito Kato and Kanato Le, a step he called 'a dream come true.' He opened his rookie campaign with an encouraging fourth in qualifying at the Melbourne season-opener, backing it up with two top-six finishes including fifth in the Feature Race.

2026 season

Gładysz has shown raw pace amid the rough edges of a debut year. After Monaco he sat ninth in the standings on 13 points, though that round cost him with front-wing damage in the Feature. Barcelona brought a difficult Sprint — a drive-through (commuted to a 20-second penalty) for an incorrect grid slot plus a false-start penalty — yet he recovered from 17th on the grid to 10th in the Feature for the final point, leaving him 12th on 14 points. With the Red Bull Ring, a circuit he has already won at, next on the calendar, the Pole has reasons for optimism. The season is ongoing and no title is decided.
