Leonardo Pulcini

Leonardo Pulcini (born 25 June 1998 in Rome) is an Italian racing driver who was a single-seater junior before finding lasting success in GT and endurance racing. He was the 2016 Euroformula Open champion.

Junior career

Pulcini contested the GP3 Series with Arden International in 2017, where a second place at Catalunya was his only points finish on the way to 14th. He improved markedly in 2018 with Campos Racing in GP3's final season, taking two wins and three further podiums to finish fourth in the standings, which made him one of the favourites heading into the new FIA Formula 3 era.

Formula 3

Pulcini stepped up to the inaugural 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship with Hitech Grand Prix. He took his sole win in the Silverstone sprint race and, with two podiums, finished 8th in the standings with 78 points. He made only a brief return in 2020 with Carlin Buzz Racing (the squad that later became Rodin Motorsport), contesting just two races and scoring no points.

After F3

Pulcini pivoted to sportscars and thrived. He won the 2021 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Pro championship and the 2022 International GT Open title with Oregon Team, then became a Lamborghini factory driver, racing in endurance and GT World Challenge Europe with Iron Lynx — a far more successful chapter than his single-seater results suggested.
