Francesco Simonazzi (born 8 March 2004) is an Italian racing driver who made a brief late-season appearance in the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2023.
Formula 3
Rodin Carlin signed Simonazzi, then a Euroformula Open driver, for the final two rounds of the 2023 FIA Formula 3 season, putting him in the seat previously occupied by Hunter Yeany and Max Esterson. He made his debut in treacherous wet conditions at Spa-Francorchamps, finishing 14th, and added a couple more top-20 results. At his home round at Monza he came close to a maiden point, finishing 11th in the feature race — in only his fourth F3 start.
Other racing
Simonazzi's main programme was the Euroformula Open Championship, which he contested with BVM Racing from 2021 to 2024, finishing runner-up in the championship in 2024. His F3 cameo remained a short, one-off chapter rather than a full campaign.
