Fabio Luca Scherer (born 13 June 1999) is a Swiss racing driver who competed in the inaugural season of the new FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2019.
Formula 3
Scherer was one of three drivers chosen to spearhead the Sauber Junior Team by Charouz effort in 2019, alongside Lirim Zendeli and Raoul Hyman, running with the Charouz Racing System operation. He finished the season 17th in the drivers' standings with seven points, ending the year as the team's leading scorer despite a difficult campaign in a highly competitive grid.
After Formula 3
Scherer moved away from single-seaters after 2019. In 2020 he switched to tin-tops, driving an Audi RS5 Turbo DTM for Audi Sport Team WRT in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. From 2021 onwards he focused on endurance racing, competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship (including the 24 Hours of Le Mans), the European Le Mans Series and the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
