Ernesto Rivera

Ernesto Rivera Pavlovich (born 1 December 2008) is a Mexican racing driver and a member of the Red Bull Junior Team, who stepped up to the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Campos Racing for the 2026 season.

Junior career

Rivera made his single-seater debut at the start of 2024 with Campos Racing, splitting his rookie year between the British and Spanish Formula 4 championships; he took a race win in the Spanish series and finished fifth in its standings. He graduated to Eurocup-3 in 2025, again with Campos, and it was there that he caught Red Bull's eye: seven podiums including three wins and a top-four championship finish (reported as third or fourth depending on the stage of the season) earned him a place on the Red Bull Junior Team, the most demanding young-driver programme in the sport.

Formula 3

For 2026 Rivera was promoted to FIA Formula 3 with Campos Racing, making it three seasons in three different categories with the same team — a continuity that is rare on the junior ladder. His pre-season was disrupted when he missed the official Barcelona test (Patrick Heuzenroeder deputised), but he returned to top the final test session at Jerez and carried that pace into the year. The standout early moment came on the streets of Monte Carlo, where he qualified inside the top five to line up among the front-runners for the Feature Race, a marker of promise on one of the calendar's most unforgiving circuits.
