David Schumacher (born 23 October 2001) is a German racing driver and the latest member of one of motorsport's most famous dynasties: he is the son of former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, the nephew of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, and cousin of Mick Schumacher. He carved out his own junior single-seater career across four FIA Formula 3 campaigns.

Formula 3

Schumacher first appeared in FIA F3 in 2019 as a substitute, standing in for the injured Alex Peroni at Campos Racing for the Sochi finale and later contesting the Macau Grand Prix with the Sauber Junior Team by Charouz.

For 2020 he committed to a full season with Charouz Racing System, but the year was a struggle; he transferred to Carlin partway through the campaign and finished 28th overall without scoring points, his best result a 12th place.

His breakthrough came in 2021 with Trident. At the Red Bull Ring he converted a reverse-grid pole into his maiden FIA F3 win in the second race, also claiming his first points and podium. He ended the season 11th in the standings with 55 points, his most competitive campaign, as Trident took the teams' title.

In 2022 he made only limited appearances with Charouz at Imola and Zandvoort as he was by then focused on the DTM, finishing the season among the non-scorers.

After Formula 3

Schumacher moved into sportscar and touring-car racing, competing in the DTM from 2022 and in GT3 endurance machinery in the GT World Challenge Europe, racing with Ford GT3 programmes.
