Amaury Cordeel is a Belgian single-seater driver who became one of the most experienced campaigners on the FIA Formula 2 grid, racing in the championship for four consecutive seasons from 2022 to 2025 after a single year in FIA Formula 3.
Formula 3
Cordeel made his FIA Formula 3 debut in 2021 with Campos Racing, having previously raced across the Formula Renault Eurocup, the Toyota Racing Series and Formula 3 Asia. It proved a difficult campaign: he scored no points, took a best finish of 11th and ended the season 23rd in the standings.
Formula 2
Despite the modest F3 results, Cordeel stepped up to FIA Formula 2 in 2022 with Van Amersfoort Racing, who were entering the series. It was his strongest campaign: he finished 17th with 26 points, his best result a sixth place in the Spa-Francorchamps feature race in front of his home crowd.
He switched to Invicta Virtuosi Racing for 2023, partnering Jack Doohan, and finished 20th with eight points, his best result an eighth in the Monaco sprint race. Moving to Hitech Pulse-Eight for 2024, he recorded his career-best F2 result of fifth in the Jeddah feature race and ended the year 17th with 39 points.
For 2025 he joined Rodin Motorsport, drafted in to replace Christian Mansell. The season proved frustrating, with qualifying pace repeatedly undone by track-limits deletions; he scored only a handful of points and was replaced by Martinius Stenshorne for the final two rounds.
Across four F2 seasons Cordeel built a reputation as a quick but inconsistent driver who never quite converted his raw speed into the results his experience promised.
