Alessio Deledda is an Italian racing driver born on 10 December 1994, notable for an unconventional route into single-seaters. Rather than the usual karting apprenticeship, he came to cars relatively late, having competed in motorcycle racing — including the 2017 Italian Superstock 600 championship — before switching to four wheels in 2018.
Formula 3
Deledda contested the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Campos Racing across two seasons. In 2019 he finished 29th without scoring, and in 2020 he again endured a pointless campaign, ending 34th in the standings.
Formula 2
For 2021 Deledda stepped up to the FIA Formula 2 Championship with HWA Racelab, partnering fellow Italian Matteo Nannini. He made 23 starts across the season but did not score a point, finishing 25th in the final standings.
Deledda's single-seater career is most accurately described as that of a determined privateer who reached F2 without the budget or junior pedigree of the front-runners, and his results reflect the steep competitive gap in those grids.
