Alessandro Giusti

Alessandro Giusti is a French single-seater racer and a member of the Williams Racing Driver Academy, climbing the junior ladder with Formula 1 firmly in his sights.

The climb

Giusti announced himself by winning the French Formula 4 title in 2022, beating a strong national field to mark himself out as one of France's brightest single-seater prospects. He then graduated to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA), one of the toughest junior series in Europe, where he served a two-year apprenticeship: in his 2023 rookie campaign he took three race wins on the way to sixth in the standings, then sharpened that into fourth overall in 2024, steadily closing the gap to the front. That progression was enough to win him the backing of the Williams Racing Driver Academy, his ticket onto the FIA ladder.

Formula 3

For 2025 Williams placed Giusti with MP Motorsport in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, where he made an instant impression by setting the eighth-quickest time in the opening Jerez pre-season test. His rookie year was defined by strong race pace: across the campaign he banked 13 points finishes and two podiums — a third place at Barcelona and a second in Austria — to end up tenth in the standings. The recurring frustration was Saturday qualifying, where he repeatedly failed to convert his speed into front-row grid slots and was left fighting back through the field on Sundays — a flaw he and the team flagged as the single biggest thing holding him back from challenging for wins.

2026 / temporada actual

Williams and MP Motorsport moved early to retain Giusti for a second F3 season, and the brief is explicit: fight for the title. He has had a full winter to adapt to the new-generation F3 car introduced for 2026, and has openly framed qualifying consistency — 'not making mistakes' — as the key to unlocking poles and wins. At MP he lines up alongside fellow second-year driver Tuukka Taponen, who edged him by a single classification place in 2025 despite finishing level on points, and Eurocup-3 champion Mattia Colnaghi. With Williams backing, a season of hard-won experience and a clear diagnosis of his own weaknesses, Giusti enters 2026 as a genuine title outsider rather than a development project.
