TRIDENTThe Story
The FIA Formula 3 2026 Round 7 in Hungary delivered an action-packed weekend at the Hungaroring. Taponen set the pace early, securing pole position for the Feature Race. The Sprint Race saw Naël of Campos Racing claim victory, with Le (ART Grand Prix) and Rivera (Campos Racing) completing the podium. Rivera's strong performance continued into the Feature Race, where he finished sixth, adding to Campos Racing's successful weekend which also included Ugochukwu's second place.
The main event, the Feature Race, was won by Slater for TRIDENT, who stood atop the podium alongside Ugochukwu and Badoer (Rodin Motorsport). Badoer also secured a top-five finish in the Sprint Race, demonstrating consistent form. Colnaghi (MP Motorsport) was another consistent performer, finishing fourth in both races. Taponen, the pole-sitter, converted his strong qualifying into a fifth-place finish in the Feature Race and a sixth in the Sprint. Wharton (PREMA Racing) secured points in both races, finishing eighth in the Sprint and seventh in the Feature. These results have significantly intensified the championship battle as the season progresses.
