Tsolov took pole at the Red Bull Ring, but the weekend turned against him. The Sprint went to Wharton, who led from start to finish for a maiden F3 win, resisting constant pressure from Giusti. A safety car followed a Wurz-Badoer collision that ended Wurz's race. The podium was reshaped after the flag: Ugochukwu, who had finished on the rostrum, took a ten-second penalty for going off-track battling Tsolov, dropping him out of the top ten and promoting Tsolov to third. The Feature delivered the championship swing of the season. Tsolov converted pole into a dominant lights-to-flag drive, crossing the line some six seconds clear, only to be disqualified in scrutineering for excessive plank wear. The win passed to Stenshorne, who had carved through from fifteenth, passing Strømsted and then Câmara in the closing laps. Tramnitz also charged from seventeenth via the DRS trains for second, with Boya third after climbing from fourteenth and setting the fastest lap. Van Hoepen was also disqualified for a tyre-pressure breach. Tsolov's exclusion erased points that would have brought him to within a point of Câmara, who instead led by twenty-four.
