Sergio Canamasas is a Spanish former racing driver who spent several seasons in the GP2 Series and its successor, the FIA Formula 2 Championship. He made his car-racing debut in 2007 in the Spanish Formula Three Championship with Cetea Sport.
Canamasas began his GP2 career in 2012, signed by Lazarus to contest the eighth round of the season, and went on to race in the category across multiple campaigns with a series of mid-grid teams. He was best known as a hard, sometimes controversial racer who occasionally produced strong results without ever fighting for the title.
For 2017, the championship was rebranded as FIA Formula 2. Canamasas started the season with Trident before switching to Rapax from the fifth round at the Red Bull Ring. The move paid off with his best result of the year, fourth at Silverstone. His career came to an abrupt end at the following round at the Hungaroring, where he retired from both races; he later revealed he left motorsport entirely after an off-track incident involving security at that event during which, in his words, he "almost lost" his father.
