The climb

Martinius Kleve Stenshorne, born on 2 February 2006 in Hokksund, is a Norwegian racing driver who climbed from FIA Formula 3 into Formula 2 and now ranks among the most promising Scandinavian single-seater talents of his generation. He karted from the age of ten, taking runner-up in the 2018 WSK Champions Cup and wins in the WSK Master Series and Italian Championship, before joining Nicolas Todt's All Road Management in 2021.

Junior single-seaters

In 2022 Stenshorne ran a broad F4 programme across the UAE, Italian, ADAC and Spanish championships with R-ace GP and Van Amersfoort Racing. He stepped up to Formula Regional with R-ace GP, and in 2023 finished runner-up in the FRECA championship with five wins — a standout regional season that put him on the radar of the F1 academies.

Formula 3

Stenshorne contested the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2024 and 2025 with Hitech (Hitech TGR). His rookie 2024 year ended 18th but brought a win and two podiums, and in May that year he joined the McLaren Driver Development programme. In 2025 he raised his game sharply, taking two wins plus three further podiums to finish fifth in the championship.

Formula 2

He broke into FIA Formula 2 during 2025, debuting with Trident at Baku before moving to Rodin Motorsport for the final two rounds at Lusail and Yas Marina — claiming his first F2 podium-topping result along the way. He stayed with Rodin for his first full F2 campaign in 2026, partnering Alexander Dunne. His McLaren development tie ran from May 2024 to November 2025.

2026 season

Stenshorne's full-time F2 season caught fire at Montreal, where he took his maiden F2 victory in the Feature Race in damp conditions at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, leading home Dunne for a Rodin one-two with Gabriele Minì third. Through eight races that win and two podiums had him third in the championship — a genuine title contender in his rookie F2 year. The season remains in progress and no title is decided.
