Joshua Mason (born 19 March 2002) is a British racing driver who made his FIA Formula 2 debut mid-way through the 2023 season.
Junior career
Mason came to motorsport relatively late, beginning in karting at around fourteen. He progressed quickly through junior single-seaters, becoming a race winner in series including the BRDC British F3 Championship, the Euroformula Open Championship and Formula Regional Oceania. In 2021-2022 he contested Euroformula Open, finishing fifth in the 2022 standings with three wins and four podiums.
Formula 2
Mason stepped up to Formula 2 in 2023 with PHM Racing by Charouz, joining the grid from the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps to replace Brad Benavides. He showed reasonable pace and was retained for the remaining rounds of the season, but in a difficult car his best result was twelfth in the Monza feature race, and he finished 23rd in the championship. His F2 outing was a short, partial-season cameo at the end of his junior single-seater path.
