Jack Doohan

Jack Doohan is an Australian racing driver and son of five-time 500cc motorcycle world champion Mick Doohan. An Alpine academy member, he climbed the FIA single-seater ladder through Formula 3 (2020–2021) and Formula 2 (2021–2023) before reaching Formula 1 with Alpine.

Formula 3

Doohan's first FIA F3 season in 2020 with HWA Racelab was a struggle — no points and 26th in the standings. The turnaround in 2021 was dramatic: moving to Trident, he scored four wins, including a famous double victory at Spa-Francorchamps, and six podiums to finish runner-up to Dennis Hauger while helping Trident to the teams' title.

Formula 2

Doohan made a partial F2 debut in the closing rounds of 2021 with MP Motorsport, ending 19th. He stepped up full-time with Virtuosi Racing in 2022, adapting quickly with three wins, six podiums and three poles for sixth overall. Staying with the team — by then Invicta Virtuosi Racing — in 2023, he improved to third in the championship with three more wins, cementing his place among the leading graduates of the feeder ladder.

Doohan went on to race in Formula 1, but his F2 progression from rookie sixth to a championship-podium third defined his junior career.
