Arjun Maini is an Indian racing driver, born in December 1997, who reached the FIA Formula 2 Championship as a Haas F1 Team development driver before establishing himself in sportscars.

Junior career

Maini climbed the European single-seater ladder, racing in the GP3 Series — including a 2017 campaign that brought podium finishes — and earning support from the Haas F1 Team as a development driver, which underpinned his graduation to Formula 2.

Formula 2

Maini stepped up to FIA Formula 2 in 2018 with Trident, partnering fellow Haas development driver Santino Ferrucci. He out-scored his teammate with 24 points and finished 16th in the championship, but the season was overshadowed by a bitter intra-team feud — Ferrucci was ultimately dropped by the team after deliberately colliding with Maini after the Silverstone sprint race.

After missing out on a full-time seat for 2019, Maini moved into sportscars, but was recalled to F2 mid-season by Campos Racing when Dorian Boccolacci lost his funding. He contested six races for Campos without scoring, ending the year well down the order.

After F2

Maini transitioned to GT and endurance racing, where he found greater success, racing internationally in sportscar categories and representing India on the world stage. He did not progress to a Formula 1 race seat.
