At the Red Bull Ring, the Sprint ran in mixed, drying conditions that split the field between slicks and wets. Crawford and Daruvala gambled on slicks; the call briefly backfired before coming good as the track dried, and Crawford took a maiden F2 win. Multiple cautions punctuated proceedings: Daruvala spun into the gravel on lap one, Verschoor crashed at Turn 1, and a virtual safety car followed a Fittipaldi–Maini clash. Novalak was disqualified post-race for under-pressure tyres, promoting Hadjar onto the podium behind Crawford and Martins. The Feature, far drier, delivered Van Amersfoort's first F2 win. Martins started from pole but made a slow getaway and slipped back. Verschoor and Fittipaldi ran the alternate strategy, going long, and a late safety car – for Leclerc losing a wheel exiting the pits – let the long-runners pit for fresh softs with a big grip advantage. On those tyres Verschoor climbed through the order and snatched the lead from Vesti at Turn 4 on the penultimate lap, holding on by under half a second. Iwasa and Vesti completed the podium. Vesti led Pourchaire in the standings.
