2015 Technical Regulations
2015 carried over the 2014 turbo-hybrid framework. Introduction of the Virtual Safety Car (VSC), a rule that imposed delta lap times on all cars when a local yellow-flag incident didn't warrant a full safety car — a direct outcome of the Bianchi accident investigation. Engine development tokens allowed limited in-season development. Hamilton defended the drivers' title in a dominant Mercedes.

Virtual Safety Car introduced
VSC: when activated, all cars had to follow a specified delta time around the circuit, neutralising the race without requiring the physical safety car to be deployed. The mechanism was designed to control speeds past waving-yellow incidents such as the one that killed Jules Bianchi in Suzuka 2014. It remains an active race-control tool.
